O'Connell Whiskey Merchants Ltd

O'Connell Whiskey Merchants Limited is an independent spirit merchant operating from Kilmacthomas, County Waterford, on the historic site of a 19th‑century workhouse. As bonders, blenders and bottlers, the company specialises in the careful curation and crafting of single‑cask releases, offering collectors and enthusiasts a portfolio of truly distinctive Irish whiskies.

Their core offering centres on limited‑edition bottlings that showcase the science of wood management and the art of maturation. Highlights include the award‑winning 15‑Year‑Old Oloroso‑matured grain whiskey – a cask‑strength, 62.5 % dram with only 240 bottles available – and the inaugural PX Series Single, a Great Northern Distillery malt aged in Pedro Ximénez sherry butts, limited to 1 200 bottles at 50 % ABV. The range is further divided into dedicated collections of malts, grains and single casks, all released through an early‑access “Get Inside the Warehouse” programme for those who appreciate exceptional, non‑chill‑filtered spirits.
