The Irish Association of Barbershop Singers (IABS) is the national body that brings together Ireland's vibrant community of barbershop-style vocal groups. As a company limited by guarantee, IABS exists to support its members through a year-round programme of education, resources and competition, helping singers of all ages and abilities to develop their craft and enjoy the pure, close-harmonised sound that defines the genre.

Each year the association organises a flagship Convention, featuring a range of contests such as the National Quartet and Chorus Championships, the International Quartet Champions, and specialised mixed-chorus events like Project M. Winners and medallists-including silver and bronze medallists at the 2025 Convention-are celebrated, while the Members Area offers downloadable song libraries, teaching materials and guidance on copyright for performance use. IABS also maintains an active online presence, keeping members informed of upcoming events via a calendar, social media channels and a suggestion box for continuous improvement.
