Kilkenny Volunteer Centre CLG

Kilkenny Volunteer Centre Company Limited by Guarantee is the hub for community‑driven volunteering across County Kilkenny. Operating as a charitable volunteer centre, it connects individuals eager to give their time with local organisations that need support, while also offering a one‑stop registration service for both volunteers and groups seeking assistance.

The centre’s core services include a searchable volunteer‑role database that matches people with opportunities that suit their skills and interests, a dedicated programme for sourcing volunteers for local charities, and a Garda vetting service to ensure safe placements. It also provides the Volunteer Charter – a two‑way guide that sets clear expectations and fosters trust between volunteers and host organisations. Groups can register their organisation, post new roles and receive guidance from the centre’s staff, making the recruitment process straightforward and transparent.

Through regular news updates, awards for good governance and involvement in national volunteering strategy consultations, Kilkenny Volunteer Centre demonstrates a strong commitment to building a vibrant, inclusive volunteer culture throughout the region.
