Irish Institute of Music and Song Foundation CLG

The Irish Institute of Music & Song (IIMS) is a world-facing music organisation that delivers a broad spectrum of learning, performance and wellbeing experiences for individuals, schools and businesses. Based on a historic campus just 20 minutes from Dublin Airport and a short walk from Balbriggan's train station and sandy beaches, IIMS combines heritage buildings with modern facilities such as The Lark, a 400-seat concert hall.

The Institute runs a full-time Music Academy offering vocal and instrumental lessons for children and adults, alongside a vibrant programme of choirs and ensembles - from the IIMS Children's Chorus and Youth Trad Ensemble to harp, percussion and teen groups. Its pioneering after-school programme for 8-12-year-olds, Little Musicians classes for the youngest learners, and seasonal Sounds Good music camps provide fun, skill-building and community. IIMS also delivers residential and day courses for schools, CPD workshops for teachers, international songwriting retreats and bespoke corporate wellness packages, including workplace choirs and team-building events. Luxury student accommodation and on-site dorms support both local and international participants, making the Institute a hub for musical development across Ireland and beyond.
