CARAGH OPEN FARM LIMITED

Caragh Open Farm is a family‑run open‑farm attraction set on approximately five acres in Caragh, Naas, County Kildare. Since opening its gates in June 2011, the farm has evolved from a traditional working farm into a lively destination where visitors can meet nearly thirty different species of small and friendly animals that roam freely across the grounds. The farm also offers a scenic, wheelchair‑friendly walk that is perfect for families looking to create lasting childhood memories.

In addition to the animal encounters, Caragh Open Farm operates Café Asta, a cosy eatery opened in 2022 that seats up to 30 guests indoors with extra alfresco space. The café serves a rotating seasonal menu of barista coffee, soups, paninis, toasted sandwiches, sausage rolls, chips, chicken nuggets, and a selection of sweet treats. Throughout the season – from the end of March to the last weekend in September – the farm welcomes guests on weekends and bank holidays, extending to daily opening hours during July and August, and hosts special events such as Easter and Halloween celebrations.

The farm prides itself on a warm, friendly atmosphere that feels far from over‑commercialised, offering affordable entry (£5 per adult, free for children under two) and encouraging picnics for larger families. Dogs are not permitted, ensuring a safe environment for the many small animals that call the farm home.
