18for0 - Advocating for Clean Energy CLG

18for0 - Advocating For Clean Energy Company Limited By Guarantee is an Irish non-profit dedicated to informing the public and policy-makers about the role nuclear power could play in delivering a reliable, affordable and carbon-free electricity system. Drawing on the extensive energy-sector experience of its volunteer team, the organisation produces clear, evidence-based publications and webinars that explain how a modest contribution - around 18 % of Ireland's electricity - from nuclear generation could accelerate the transition to a zero-carbon grid by 2040, at a lower cost than the current Climate Action Plan.

The group actively engages with decision-makers, urging the government to assess all net-zero pathways, lift legislative barriers to nuclear studies, and include nuclear options in national energy planning. 18for0 also participates in European initiatives, such as the EU Small Modular Reactor Industrial Alliance Technical Working Group and the weCARE platform, to promote inclusive, low-carbon energy strategies across the EU.

Based in Ireland and serving audiences nationwide, 18for0 combines research, public outreach and advocacy to ensure that nuclear energy is considered a credible and affordable component of the country's clean-energy future.
