Buds Nursery Limited has been a cornerstone of Irish horticulture for more than three decades, operating from a 60‑acre site just outside Cavan town. Six acres of the property are dedicated to a modern, container‑based production system that supplies a diverse range of nursery stock, while the remaining land, spread across small farms throughout the county, is used to grow ornamental trees and other specialist plants.

The nursery offers an extensive catalogue that includes hedging plants, ground‑cover species, and a dedicated Native Trees Scheme. Customers can also choose from a wide selection of fruit trees (apple, pear and plum), shrubs, ornamental trees, roses, heathers, alpines, herbaceous perennials and ornamental grasses, all available in pots ranging from two to 45 litres. For larger projects, mature root‑ball and bareroot trees are supplied on request, and a delivery service is provided where quantity and site location permit.

Buds Nursery serves both private gardeners and professional landscapers, providing high‑quality, locally grown plants with a friendly, knowledgeable service. Opening hours are limited to weekday mornings and a full Saturday, ensuring focused, attentive assistance for every visitor.
