Situated in the heart of Ireland’s Medieval Mile, the museum offers daily guided tours, a self‑guided Medieval Mile Trail on weekend mornings, and a constantly rotating programme of events and exhibitions that showcase the city’s civic records, artefacts and the work of archaeologists and historians.
Beyond its core visitor experience, the museum serves a wide audience through specialised school‑tour packages for primary, secondary, third‑level and language schools, providing pupils with insight into medieval life, craftsmanship and the detective work behind historical research. The venue also doubles as a unique, atmospheric setting for private functions – from weddings and conferences to concerts and theatre productions – available for hire year‑round.
