Irish Sauna Association CLG

The Irish Sauna Association is a company limited by guarantee that acts as an overarching network for public sauna businesses in Ireland. Its vision is to integrate sauna culture into the fabric of Irish life, promote the health and wellness benefits of saunas for physical and mental wellbeing, and contribute to a healthier society through sauna advocacy. Its mission is to foster a vibrant nationwide community of sauna enthusiasts, celebrate the diverse ways individuals experience saunas, and advocate for the appreciation of Finnish sauna culture.

Founded by two Finns living in Ireland, the association aims to build a community of sauna owners and enthusiasts, promote sauna history, etiquette and wellness benefits, encourage safe and sustainable sauna practices, and inspire more sauna moments, from sea swims to ice baths or quiet reflection. The organisation’s values are rooted in community, tradition and wellness, and its culture is described as one of warmth, inclusivity and shared experiences, blending Finnish traditions with Ireland’s spirit of togetherness. The association also publishes blog posts on sauna stories and traditions, and announced its launch for January 2025.
