Ballymacelligott C. E. CLG

Ballymacelligott CE CLG is a community‑driven employment scheme that supports over 60 staff in helping the unemployed transition to sustainable work. Through a blend of training, upskilling and hands‑on work experience, the organisation creates clear pathways to employment across a wide range of roles – from office administration, bookkeeping and reception to maintenance, retail, construction and landscaping.

Operating from 19 project sites throughout County Kerry – from Brosna and Knocknagoshel to Firies, Farranfore, Currow, Tralee and Blennerville – Ballymacelligott CE CLG also contributes to the vitality of local communities. The scheme maintains community halls, GAA facilities and Tidy Towns projects, and provides vital administrative assistance to charities and groups caring for the elderly. Funded by the Department of Social Protection, the company’s work is underpinned by a strong public‑sector partnership, ensuring that both individuals and the wider community benefit from its dedicated services.
