Kerry Mountain Rescue Team CLG

Kerry Mountain Rescue Team Company Limited By Guarantee is a volunteer-run rescue organisation that has been safeguarding climbers and walkers across the mountains of southwest Ireland since its formation in 1966. Born out of the tragic loss of two climbers, the team now provides rapid, professional assistance to anyone in distress on the region's rugged terrain.

The rescue service operates 24-hourly, responding to emergency calls made via 999 or 112. Team members are trained in mountain rescue techniques and are equipped to handle a range of incidents, from minor injuries to complex search operations. Their commitment to safety extends beyond on-scene response; the organisation also raises public awareness of mountain safety and welcomes support through donations, which help maintain equipment and training standards.

By combining decades of experience with a community-focused ethos, Kerry Mountain Rescue Team continues to be a vital lifeline for outdoor enthusiasts exploring Ireland's spectacular peaks.
