Donegal Horizons CLG

Donegal Horizons CLG is a community and voluntary organisation, established in 2005, delivering services in County Donegal in the North West of Ireland. It provides a comprehensive range of support and services to school leavers and adults of all ages with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities through a network of community-based projects. The organisation has two bases serving the Inishowen Peninsula and the greater Letterkenny areas. It is fully funded by the Day Service Supports Department of the Health Service Executive (HSE West). The company describes itself as primarily a training organisation, providing accredited training and enrichment learning opportunities both in the classroom and through community placement experience. Each individualised programme is based on a person centred plan, reflecting the individual's aspirations, wishes and abilities. Services include independent travel training, work-readiness training, and supported community employment opportunities, all governed by the principles of the HSE New Directions initiative. The organisation aims to enrich and improve the quality of life of referred individuals, promoting self-determination, personal potential and community integration.
