Balbriggan Cricket Club CLG

Balbriggan Cricket Club Company Limited by Guarantee is a community‑driven sporting organisation that offers competitive and recreational cricket for players of all ages and abilities. Based at the Jack Harper Memorial Cricket Ground in Balbriggan Town Park, the club fields five open‑competition sides across the Leinster Senior Leagues (from the Premier League down to Division 18), two senior women’s teams in the Premier League and Fourth Division, and a vibrant youth section comprising boys, girls and mixed squads.

Beyond the outdoor pitches, Balbriggan boasts a state‑of‑the‑art indoor training centre, opened in 2025, which provides year‑round practice under the guidance of qualified coaches. The club also runs specialised programmes such as the Blasters (cricket for children aged 3‑10) and the travelling Taverners, a “golden era” side led by an experienced captain. Social life is a key part of membership, with regular BBQs, quiz nights and a popular club lotto that raises funds for ongoing development.

With members hailing from Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania, Balbriggan Cricket Club prides itself on being an inclusive, welcoming hub for anyone eager to enjoy the game, improve their skills, and become part of a thriving cricketing community.
