The Lily Daly Foundation CLG

The Lily Daly Foundation is a company limited by guarantee, set up in memory of Lily Daly to support and help as many families as possible in hospital who have children with heart-related issues. Its primary mission and purpose is to support parents when their child is in hospital with heart-related issues, and its vision is to support, comfort and help parents and their children in hospital going through such issues. The foundation’s sole aim is to support and help as many families and parents as possible across Ireland in the years ahead.

The foundation raises funds by running public fundraising events. Its first event, Lily’s Pink Challenge, took place on Saturday 16 September 2023 in Killarney, County Kerry, and involved a 60k cycle and a 10k run or walk, which could be completed individually or as a relay. All proceeds raised in 2023 were directed to two facilities with a strong association with the foundation: the Heart Centre in Crumlin Children’s Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House in Dublin. The foundation’s mission is to run events to raise funds to support parents with sick children, particularly those with heart-related issues, in hospital.
