Blackhall Solar Farm Ltd

Blackhall Solar Farm Limited is a renewable‑energy developer focused on delivering a large‑scale solar project across the townlands of Mulhussey, Milltown, Batterstown and the surrounding area in County Meath. By harnessing clean, green electricity, the farm aims to help Ireland meet its 80 % renewable electricity target for 2030, cutting emissions and reducing reliance on fossil fuels.

The company’s core activity is the design, construction and operation of the solar farm, underpinned by a comprehensive suite of environmental assessments – covering landscape and visual impact, heritage and archaeology, ecology, hydrology, glint and glare, among others. In addition to power generation, Blackhall Solar Farm has established a community benefit fund that supports local environmental projects, voluntary organisations, community groups and schools. Through the “Pin Your Passion” campaign, residents are invited to suggest how the fund should be spent, with a focus on biodiversity, energy‑saving, sustainable transport, local food and waste‑recycling initiatives.

Blackhall Solar Farm therefore serves both the wider energy market and the local community, offering a tangible example of how renewable infrastructure can deliver environmental, economic and social advantages.
