Killanny Social Hall Company Limited By Guarantee manages the Killanny Social Hall, a community facility that has served the local area for over seventy years. The hall was originally constructed in the late nineteen forties. Although the venue experienced a period of underuse in recent years, a new volunteer committee was established in twenty twenty four to revitalise the site. This committee aims to re-establish the hall as a central hub for community groups and the hosting of local activities. The facility is operated by this newly formed company structure.

The history of the building dates back to nineteen forty seven, when the parochial hall was completed at a cost of eight thousand pounds. Its original objective was to help pay off the outstanding debt on the nearby St. Enda’s Church. This was achieved through the organisation of dances, which were held twice weekly, and other fundraising functions. The original hall committee included local men such as Jim Kelly, Joe Finnegan, Pat Traynor and John McKenna. Over the decades, the venue has hosted many notable acts, including Big Tom, who made his debut there. During the nineteen eighties, bingo organised by the G.A.A. was also very popular within the hall.
