Killadeer Green Energy Ltd

Killadeer Green Energy Limited is an Irish renewable energy company specialising in developing renewable energy projects, working with communities from pre-planning through to operation, and creating long-lasting local partnerships. The project team has over twenty years of development and operational experience.

The company is proposing a wind energy project with eight wind turbines in the townlands of Killadeer, Bellaburke, Killawullaun West, and Killavally East. The site is located within an area designated as ‘open for consideration’ for wind energy development in the Mayo County Development Plan 2022-2028. The project aims to generate clean, renewable electricity while supporting Ireland’s climate and energy commitments, reducing carbon emissions, strengthening local energy resilience, and delivering long-term environmental benefits. The company believes wind energy will play a central role in Ireland’s transition to a low-carbon economy by 2050.
