Local Development Companies Network CLG

Local Development Companies Network CLG is the national network that brings together 45 Local Development Companies operating in both rural and urban areas across Ireland. Its members work hand-in-hand with communities, local partners and public bodies to co-design and deliver solutions that tackle disadvantage, strengthen local economies and build resilient, inclusive places to live, work and belong.

The network's collective impact is underpinned by a clear set of values - social justice, stewardship, sustainable development, community-led approaches and equality/equity - which guide programmes in key thematic areas such as social inclusion, health equality, climate action, enterprise, employment supports, education and early-years/family services. Together the members employ more than 2,000 staff and support thousands of individuals, families, businesses and social enterprises each year, delivering projects that range from renewable-energy initiatives in small towns to youth development schemes in city centres.

Funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development, the Department of Social Protection and member subscriptions, the Local Development Companies Network CLG acts as a catalyst for lasting, community-driven change, ensuring that local voices remain at the heart of Ireland's social and economic development.
