Gorey Agricultural Show CLG

Gorey Agricultural Show Company Limited by Guarantee is a volunteer-run organisation that delivers an annual, family-friendly agricultural showcase in the Gorey area of County Wexford. Drawing on the generosity of local clubs, businesses and the wider farming community, the committee organises a full-day event that celebrates livestock, equestrian sport, crafts, vintage displays and rural entertainment.

The show features a wide range of competitions - from cattle, sheep, horse and pony classes to dog, poultry and pet sections - alongside a bustling food tent, live music, dancing and amusement rides. Trade stands provide a platform for agricultural suppliers and local enterprises, while new initiatives such as a sustainability zone and a community-driven scarecrow competition reflect the event's commitment to innovation and environmental stewardship. Sponsorship from Tirlán, support from Wexford County Council and partnership with the Irish Shows Association ensure a safe, well-resourced experience for participants and visitors alike.

Hosted on the Hardy family's farm at Ashton, the show benefits from excellent road access near the Gorey-Wexford motorway exit. Each year the event attracts entrants and spectators from across the region, reinforcing its role as a cornerstone of rural life and a showcase for Ireland's vibrant agricultural heritage.
