Kilkenny Animated Festival Limited is the organiser of Ireland’s premier animation showcase, held each October in the historic medieval streets of Kilkenny, the heart of the country’s Ancient East. In partnership with the five‑time Academy Award®‑nominated studio Cartoon Saloon and the award‑winning Lighthouse Studios, the festival brings together a diverse programme of visual‑storytelling events for both industry professionals and the wider public.

The festival offers a Mainstage Pass for the two‑day headline programme, featuring internationally recognised speakers such as Maggie Kang, Chris Applehans, Lisa Hanawalt, Brenda Chapman, Kevin Lima, Michael Rose and Martin Pope. Complementary family‑friendly activities include workshops for ages three and up, curated film screenings, and the ever‑popular Sketching Tours – all available as separate tickets. Student discounts are provided via a dedicated code, and early‑bird rates reward those who book early.
