Goodly Barrow Limited is a vibrant cultural hub situated in the historic village of Goresbridge, where the River Barrow’s legacy comes to life. The enterprise combines a museum, café, craft studio and a modest book‑shop, offering visitors a chance to step back into “river time” while enjoying modern comforts.

The on‑site museum showcases maps, artefacts, film footage and oral histories that trace the waterways from their earliest ancestors to today, and even invites history students to contribute research. The café serves Paula’s home‑cooked soups, Goodly Bowls, super‑food salads, award‑winning Green Ocean coffee from Kenya and a selection of teas from the House of Teas in Tullow, alongside a range of cakes from the renowned Carlow bakery Émile Pâtissier. Craft lovers can browse traditionally forged metal pieces by Bryan Donnelly and bespoke silver jewellery by Kate O’Neill.

Goodly Barrow also supports outdoor pursuits, providing walking and cycling guides along the Barrow Way, and acting as a base for Charlie Horan’s guided kayaking trips. With its blend of heritage, hospitality and craft, the centre welcomes families, tourists, students and locals alike.
