Founded by brothers Colm and John Galvin in 2022, the organisation works with schools, local councils and community groups to transform under‑used spaces into thriving Biodiversity Havens – native woodlands, fruit‑guild orchards, hedgerows and other complex ecosystems that support pollinators, birds and wildlife while enhancing human well‑being.

Their core services include site assessment, co‑creation design, planting and soil‑health workshops, as well as ongoing stewardship and educational programmes. Living Woodlands also offers bespoke sponsorship packages for businesses and organises regular *meitheal* planting days for volunteers.
