Sligo Sport and Recreation Partnership CLG

Sligo Sport and Recreation Partnership (SSRP) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to making sport and physical activity a way of life across County Sligo. Working hand-in-hand with local clubs, schools, community groups and volunteers, SSRP designs and delivers programmes that encourage more people to get active, more often.

The partnership's core services include organising inclusive events - from indoor rowing blitzes and orienteering challenges to disability-friendly tennis sessions - and running specialist training for coaches, volunteers and administrators. Their education portfolio covers safeguarding, disability-inclusion, children's coaching and a range of National Governing Body-supported courses, while initiatives such as the Women in Sport Leadership Course and the "Games 4 All" series broaden participation for under-represented groups.

Through the #ActiveSligo umbrella, SSRP also supports active seniors, promotes school-based sport, and collaborates with partners such as the Mayo Sligo Leitrim ETB to expand the reach of sport and recreation throughout the region. Their aim is simple but powerful: more people, more active, more often.
